Lubbock will host the Bike MS: Cactus & Crude event on Saturday, July 18th, to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). The one-day cycling event aims to get people outside and active while supporting those suffering from multiple sclerosis.
Bike MS Details
Participants can choose between a 25-mile or 60-mile route, both of which will journey through the West Texas landscape. The event will start at English Newsom Cellars, located at 408 E Woodrow Road in Lubbock. Riders will depart at 7:30 a.m. for the 60-mile route and 8 a.m. for the 25-mile route.
A minimum fundraising amount of $250 is required to participate, and all bikers must be over the age of 12. E-bikes are allowed under certain circumstances, and helmets are required to be worn at all times. Pets are not allowed to join the ride, except for service animals.
The event schedule includes breakfast, opening ceremonies, and lunch and massages available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. A special frozen treat will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
