A tragic incident occurred near Siloam Springs, where the bodies of a woman and a 5-year-old boy were discovered in a car. The Benton County sheriff’s office has confirmed that the deaths were a result of murder-suicide.
Investigation Details
The sheriff’s office received a report of two people appearing to be dead inside a vehicle parked off Old Highway 68 and U.S. 412 on Wednesday. The two individuals were identified as Kena Donshaie Knapper, 26, and Tyler Zane Winston, 5, both from Tulsa.
The state medical examiner has ruled Tyler’s death a homicide and Knapper’s a suicide. The relationship between the two was not disclosed. The sheriff’s office is awaiting the final written report from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory.
Recent Incidents
This incident marks the third murder-suicide in Benton County this month. On June 4, Mark Bramel, 70, was accused of killing his wife and then attempting to kill himself. Bramel died last week while in custody. Another incident occurred on June 11, where Jaden Colby Howard, 22, and his mother, Jennifer L. Howard, 44, were found dead from gunshot wounds.
