Ben Kohles Triumphs at 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am in Greer

Ben Kohles emerged victorious at the 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am, held from June 4-7 at Thornblade Club in Greer and the Country Club of Spartanburg. This annual event, which combines a celebrity tournament with a Korn Ferry Tour event, has been a significant contributor to Upstate nonprofits, raising over $17 million since its inception in 2001.

Kohles delivered a steady performance, shooting an even-par final round to finish 15-under, securing a four-stroke victory over Logan McAllister. This win marks Kohles’ fifth on the Korn Ferry Tour and his first of the year. The Korn Ferry Tour serves as a developmental circuit for aspiring PGA Tour professionals.

Local talent shone brightly as Greenville native William Jennings, playing on a sponsor’s exemption, finished 12th. This impressive performance earned him a spot in the upcoming Korn Ferry Tour event, the OccuNet Classic, scheduled for June 11-14 in Amarillo, Texas. Jennings, who is also a standout player for Alabama, recently finished second in the NCAA Division I Men’s National Championship on June 1.

Community Impact and Celebrity Participation

The BMW Charity Pro-Am, presented by TD Synnex, continues to be a highlight in the local sports calendar, drawing attention not only for its competitive play but also for its charitable impact. This year’s celebrity lineup featured notable figures such as movie star Bill Murray and U.S. soccer legend Clint Dempsey, among others. The event is set to remain a fixture on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2027, promising continued support for local causes and entertainment for the community.
