Becky Fuller, a candidate for El Paso County Assessor, has outlined her qualifications and policy priorities for the role. With an accounting degree from CU Boulder and over 30 years of experience in Small Business Administration-backed lending, Fuller believes she has the technical competence and service-minded approach needed to lead the Assessor’s Office.
Experience and Qualifications
Fuller has nearly seven years of service on the El Paso County Planning Commission, where she has worked with technical rules, compliance requirements, property-related issues, and complex public processes. She has also helped make those rules and processes understandable to others, which she believes is essential for the Assessor’s Office.
Fuller is proud to have the endorsements of Mark Flutcher, the retiring Assessor, and Chuck Broerman, the current Treasurer. She already has strong working relationships with county leaders and plans to build on those relationships to provide excellent service to the community.
Policy Priorities
Fuller’s top priorities are transparency, accuracy, and service to property owners. She wants to make property values easier to understand, county data more transparent and accessible, and strengthen a mission-driven culture focused on service excellence.
Fuller also wants to ensure that every eligible senior and 100% disabled veteran knows about and receives the property tax exemption they have earned. She believes that the Assessor’s Office should be a trusted educational resource for property owners, providing clearer explanations, practical tools, and educational opportunities to help people understand the valuation process and participate in local and state policy discussions.
