Businesses around Beaver Lake are already seeing a surge in customers as the Fourth of July holiday approaches, with resorts and rental companies preparing for one of their busiest weekends of the summer.
Annual Fireworks Show
Ventris Trail’s End Resort says boat rentals and hotel stays are nearly full as crowds prepare for the annual fireworks show, which draws thousands of people to Beaver Lake each year.
“We average about 18 to 20,000 people per show. It’s amazing to see how many people are getting into the fireworks shows. It generates a tremendous amount of business,” said Jody Simrell, owner of Ventris Trail’s End Resort.
Boaters are already getting an early start on Beaver Lake ahead of the Fourth of July rush. Business owners recommend bringing sunscreen, plenty of water, and life jackets for anyone heading out on the water.
The fireworks show begins at 9:45 p.m. Saturday. Business owners encourage visitors to arrive early due to expected large holiday crowds.
