A large barn was destroyed by fire on Paris Pike in Lexington, according to the Lexington Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the scene in the 5000 block of Paris Pike, where the barn was fully engulfed in flames.
Due to the extent of the fire, crews operated in a defensive mode. The barn is reportedly a total loss. Extra units were dispatched to help with the water supply, as windy conditions also drove the fire.
