Baltimore November 2026: Arts, Music, Festivals and Family Fun

November in Baltimore is shaping up to be a vibrant celebration of the arts, culture and community. Whether you enjoy theater, live music, hands‑on workshops or festive markets, the city’s schedule offers something for every family and neighbor.

Immersive Theater and Stage Productions

The Iron Crow Theatre presents The Rocky Horror Show through Saturday, Nov. 7, featuring a live band, a splash zone and interactive props that bring the cult classic to life. At the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Frankenstein runs until Sunday, Nov. 8, offering a fresh, spine‑tingling take on Mary Shelley’s iconic monster.

Everyman Theatre’s world‑premiere Different Words for Happiness continues through Nov. 15, a stirring, intimate exploration of the human heart written by resident company member Katie Kleiger. The Vagabond Players also launch their 111th season with Sondheim’s masterpiece Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, running through Nov. 15.

Visual Arts and Exhibitions

The Howard County Arts Council hosts two major exhibitions. Art Maryland 2026 runs through Nov. 21, showcasing regional artists in a juried show judged by Lou Joseph, Arts, Culture and Events Coordinator for Baltimore County Recreation and Parks. A free public reception on Nov. 12 will feature live music and the award ceremony.

Also through Nov. 21, By a Thread highlights vivid fiber works by Patricia Cooke, Traci Johnson and Julia Muench, with a reception on Nov. 12 from 6–8 p.m.

The Baltimore Museum of Art presents Flashback: Two Centuries of Baltimore Photography until Feb. 21, 2027, displaying more than 200 images that trace the city’s photographic history. Another BMA show, Jerrell Gibbs: Come Home With Me, runs through May 7, 2027, featuring about 30 paintings inspired by the artist’s childhood, family and the idea of home.

Family‑Friendly Activities

Kids and families can enjoy the Pumpkin Smash on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maryland Science Center’s roof, a fun way to say goodbye to jack‑o‑lanterns. The Peale hosts the Jones Falls 2076 Exhibition the same day, inviting imaginations to envision future Baltimore river landscapes.

On Nov. 1, Full Circle Dance Company presents Ritual and Revolution at the Baltimore Museum of Art, a moving performance that blends dance, music and storytelling. Later that afternoon, Baltimore Center Stage offers a whimsical adventure with Pete the Cat, followed by a live‑orchestra rendition of Hitchcock’s Psycho score at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Renowned pianist Igor Levit makes his Baltimore debut on Nov. 1 at Shriver Hall, delivering an all‑Beethoven program that includes the dramatic “Tempest” Sonata and the heroic “Waldstein.”

Educational Workshops and Lectures

Wednesday, Nov. 4, the Institute for Marine and Environmental Technology hosts a public lecture on microalgae for carbon sequestration and industrial collaboration, highlighting innovative climate solutions.

Checkerspot Brewing Co. offers a “Skip the Small Talk” night on Nov. 4, encouraging adults 21+ to meet new people through guided conversation prompts.

On Thursday, Nov. 5, the Maryland Center for History and Culture runs a free workshop, “Seeing Like a Naturalist: Sketching Waterfowl,” led by Baltimore artist Asho Buckingham. Participants study waterfowl form and color before creating their own painted studies.

Festivals, Markets and Community Gatherings

The Holiday Night Market at The Valley in Hunt Valley Towne Centre runs Friday, Nov. 6 through Friday, Nov. 20, featuring local makers, food, drinks and holiday music.

St. David’s Church hosts “Waterfall Dances: Jane Goodall in Memoriam” on Nov. 6, with organist Douglas Buchanan performing works inspired by nature to honor the late primatologist.

The 12th annual Stars, Stripes and Chow Chili Cook‑off at Oriole Park at Camden Yards also takes place Nov. 7, raising funds for veterans while teams compete for People’s Choice, Judge’s Choice and Best Theme awards.

Music and Performance Highlights

Classical fans can enjoy a concert of Ravel’s Shéhérazade and Grace‑Evangeline Mason’s “Ablaze the Moon” on Nov. 8 at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, featuring BSO Music Director Jonathon Heyward and mezzo‑soprano Fleur Barron.

Alternative rockers Afghan Whigs perform on Nov. 8 at Baltimore Soundstage as part of their Soft Control Tour 2026.

Violinist Nemanja Radulović returns Nov. 9 with Double Sens for a Vivaldi‑focused recital, followed by a film‑centric evening celebrating “Girl Island: The Sandy Stone Story” at Baltimore Center Stage, supporting Trans Awareness month and Maryland Safe Haven.
