This week offers plenty of reasons to dine out in Baltimore as restaurants roll out late‑summer flavors and early‑fall specials.

National Recognition

The Chef’s Counter at Burnt Hill Farm has earned a spot on the New York Times list of the 50 best restaurants, a testament to the region’s culinary excellence.

Oktoberfest Celebrations

Oktoberfest events, which began last week, are in full swing. Heavy Seas brings back its Oktoberfest Lager and will host a second‑annual Oktoberfest Party with food, fun and the Wiener Dog Wunderdash. From September 18‑20, Max’s Taphouse in Fells Point will pour more than 40 kegs of German‑style beers alongside brats, pretzels and other seasonal fare.

The Big Dill Pickle Party

Saturday afternoon, The Big Dill returns to Power Plant Live for a briny celebration featuring pickled foods, a brine‑chug challenge and a pickle‑eating contest.

Orchard Cocktail Party

Also Saturday, Baltimore Spirits Company will mark the equinox and debut its new fig‑and‑rye liqueur with a fruit‑forward cocktail gathering in the Cocktail Gallery, complemented by figs, blackberries, apples and charcuterie from Rosemary & Brie.

Drag & Dosa Brunch

Sunday sees the launch of Drag & Dosa: Fresh Outta Bangalore at Our Time Kitchen – a drag brunch with a South Indian twist. Tickets include a show, one dosa, one samosa and one mimosa, with proceeds supporting Nepal flood relief.

Sazon Latin Food Festival

The annual Sazon festival returns Sunday at Ministry of Brewing, offering family‑friendly Latin American flavors.

Mollydooker Wine Dinner

Wednesday, The Corner Pantry teams with Spirit Shop Falls Road for a wine dinner featuring Australian Mollydooker wines across five courses, including shellfish fricassee and poached pear pavlova.

Dining Out for Life Charity Night

Moveable Feast’s 33rd annual Dining Out for Life fundraiser takes place Thursday, September 24. Diners at participating restaurants will see a percentage of their bill donated to Moveable Feast, which provides home‑delivered meals, medical nutrition therapy and transportation for those in need. Restaurants such as Gertrudes and Clavel are contributing up to 50 percent of sales.
