Baltimore is celebrating its 297th birthday with a bash featuring a dance party, open bar, and birthday desserts from local vendors. The event will bring together over 1,000 residents, elected officials, sponsors, and city lovers.
Other Weekend Events
In addition to the birthday bash, other events happening in Baltimore this weekend include a concert featuring tunes from Steven Spielberg’s movies, a video game music festival, and a 5K and 10K crab crawl race.
The concert, titled ‘John Williams & Steven Spielberg: Movie Magic,’ will feature the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performing the music of John Williams, who has composed scores for many of Spielberg’s projects, such as ‘Jaws,’ ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,’ and ‘Jurassic Park.’
The video game music festival, Bit Gen 20, will celebrate 20 years with 15 bands on two stages, game-inspired cocktails, and a selection of free-play arcade and console games.
The 5K and 10K crab crawl race will take place in Patterson Park, with points counting towards Bishop’s Events’ year-long series. There is also a virtual option for those who cannot make it to the park on race day.
