Avelo Airlines has announced plans to offer nonstop service to 5 destinations from McKinney National Airport, including Las Vegas and four cities in Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa.
Flight Details
Flights will begin on November 11, with varying frequencies depending on the destination. One-way fares start at $99, and reservations are open through Avelo Airlines’ website.
Avelo will operate flights with two 184-seat Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft based at the airport, creating over 100 new local jobs, including pilots, flight attendants, aircraft technicians, and airport personnel.
According to Avelo Airlines founder and CEO Andrew Levy, the airline is “thrilled to be the launch and anchor airline at McKinney.” Levy stated, “As a proud Texas-born company, we are excited to grow our presence in North Texas and Collin County, one of the fastest-growing areas in America.”
