A group of Australian soccer fans, known as Socceroos, took over a Walmart in Arlington, Texas, on Friday before their team’s World Cup match against Egypt.
Videos of the incident, which went viral on social media, showed the fans chanting and cheering inside the store. The Arlington Police Department got involved to break up the impromptu rally.
The Walmart is located across the street from the stadium where the match was held. Australia ultimately lost to Egypt, ending their run in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
