Audubon Elementary hosted a ‘Kindergarten Camp’ for new students, allowing them to meet their teachers and see their classrooms before the first day of school. This event is designed to ease the transition for young students who have never been to school before.
During the camp, students learned how to line up at the door, raise their hands when they need something, and become familiar with their new environment. Parents also had the opportunity to meet with teachers and ask questions.
The first day of school for JCPS is August 6, and events like the Kindergarten Camp help prepare students and parents for a successful year.
