NASA astronaut Anil Menon has been compared to ‘Elvis’ in an amusing new picture from the International Space Station. Menon is seen posing in sunglasses and a white jumpsuit featuring the Stars and Flags in an image shared by the US space agency.
Social media users have also compared the mission’s flight engineer to motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel. Facebook comments have included ‘GREAT jumpsuits!’, ‘Elvis meets Evel Knievel!’ and ‘When did our astronauts go all Evel Knievel!?’
Menon arrived at the orbital outpost on July 14, along with Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. They are learning mission responsibilities from three crewmates — Jessica Meir, Jack Hathaway, and Chris Williams — who are preparing to return to Earth aboard a Soyuz spacecraft this weekend.
