Ash Grove senior Rylee Allred is working to make history as Missouri’s first four-time girls state golf champion. Allred, who has won three consecutive state championships, recently visited the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, the site of this year’s Class 1 MSHSAA championships.
Pursuing Greatness
Allred has been dedicated to golf since she first picked up a club at age 9. She has spent her offseason competing in the Missouri Golf Association Junior Tour and has won over 10 tournaments in her high school and junior tour careers.
Allred’s preparation and experience have given her a wise outlook on her approach to the game. ‘I’m just taking it one shot at a time,’ she said. Allred will begin her pursuit of a fourth championship on August 31 in the Edna Boyer Tournament in West Plains.
