Arlington and development partner Trademark Property are set to break ground on the redevelopment of the 43-year-old, 43-acre shopping center, formerly known as Lincoln Square, now called Anthem.
Redevelopment Plans
The project, which is expected to be completed by early 2028, will bring 404,000 square feet of retail, food & beverage, hospitality, entertainment, and public spaces to the area.
Trademark officials say they have designed Anthem with future-proofing in mind, allowing for the potential integration of other mixed-use components as market opportunities arise.
The city of Arlington and Trademark Property have been working on a plan to redevelop Lincoln Square since 2022, with the goal of creating a premier retail and entertainment destination.
Impact on the Community
The redevelopment is expected to have a positive impact on the community, with new businesses opening by early 2027 and substantial completion by 2030.
Residents will see construction activity soon, and the project is expected to bring new shopping, dining, and entertainment options to the area.
