A 17-year-old Miller County resident is in custody on 99 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. The Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in coordination with the FBI, ASP Company C, and the Miller County SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a home in the 8000 block of Old Harrison Chapel Road.
The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into an IP address being used to share child sexual abuse material. During the search, investigators seized several electronic devices in the bedroom of the 17-year-old resident. The devices contained numerous files depicting child sexual assault, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Police.
The teen’s bail is $100,000. The investigation remains active, according to the news release.
