Today marks two years since a deadly grocery store shooting in Fordyce, Arkansas, that left four people dead and at least ten others hurt, including two police officers.
Shooting Details
The shooting occurred at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce on June 21, 2024. Authorities said the suspect shot some of the victims in the parking lot before shooting others in the store. Law enforcement then shot and injured the shooter.
Travis Eugene Posey pleaded guilty to capital murder and attempted capital murder charges last summer. He was then sentenced to 220 years in prison. A motive was never disclosed, although investigators said he did not appear to have any personal connection to the victims.
