Arkansas 2026 Election Guide: Early Voting, Registration Deadline and Key Races

Arkansas voters have a clear roadmap for the 2026 general election on Nov. 3. Early voting opens Oct. 19 at 8 a.m., and Election Day voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you are still in line at the closing time, you will be allowed to vote.

Registration deadline

To vote, you must be a registered Arkansas voter. The deadline to register is Oct. 5. You can verify your registration or file a new one through the State of Arkansas website using the link provided in the official voter guide.

Sample ballot

After logging in to the Arkansas Voter View portal, you can view a sample ballot that shows exactly how the contests will appear on Election Day.

Key races

Governor: The race features incumbent Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Democrat State Senator Fred Love, and Libertarian Colt Shelby. Governor Sanders is seeking a second term, emphasizing family values, economic growth, and protecting constitutional freedoms.

U.S. Senate: Republican incumbent Tom Cotton runs for re‑election against Democrat Hallie Shoffner and Libertarian Jeff Wadlin. Senator Cotton has championed a strong national defense, border security, and policies that support traditional families.

U.S. House District 3: Voters will choose among Democrat Robb Ryerse, Libertarian Bobby Wilson, and Republican Steve Womack, the current representative who has advocated for limited government and protecting religious liberty.

U.S. House District 4: The contest pits Democrat James Russell against Republican incumbent Bruce Westerman, who continues to promote policies that bolster the agricultural economy and uphold parental‑rights issues.

Washington County Judge: The county’s top executive office is contested by Democrat Dana Deree and Republican Tim Shepard. The winner will succeed current Judge Patrick Deakins and will be responsible for overseeing county services, infrastructure, and public safety.

How to vote

Early voting locations will be announced by each county closer to Oct. 19. On Election Day, polling places will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Remember to bring a valid ID and your voter registration card if you have one.

Why participation matters

These elections will shape Arkansas’s future on issues that matter to families, faith communities, and individual liberty. From protecting the unborn child to safeguarding parental rights in education, the candidates’ platforms reflect the values that keep our neighborhoods strong.

Make sure you are registered, know your polling location, and cast your ballot. Your voice is essential in preserving the principles that make Arkansas a great place to raise a family and practice faith.
