Ariana Grande has expressed her disapproval of the White House using her music in a video promoting the administration’s immigration policy. The video, which was posted on TikTok, featured Grande’s 2024 song ‘Bye’ and showed officers, including ICE agents, handcuffing and arresting people.
The video was captioned: ‘Bye-bye President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history.’ Grande commented on the TikTok video, writing: ‘Please do not use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense.’ Her remark appears to have been hidden.
White House Response
White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded to Grande’s comments, stating: ‘What’s actually barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are the criminal illegal immigrants who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens.’ CNN has contacted the White House for further comment.
This is not the first time a musician has objected to the White House using their music. Previously, musicians like ABBA, Adele, and John Fogerty, the lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival, have spoken out against the use of their music at campaign rallies.
