Cyclists took over downtown Ardmore and Suburban Square Sunday morning for the 10th annual Ardmore Rock N’ Ride. The annual event raises money for the Narberth Ambulance, with over 100 sponsors helping to buy a brand new ambulance.
Raising Money for a Good Cause
Chief of Narberth Ambulance Operations, John Mick, said the event’s goal is to stay top of the line with equipment to protect the community. This year, more than 400 cyclists participated in the event, which also hosted the PA State Criterium.
People came from all over to watch and participate in the event, including one cyclist who traveled from New York City. The course took riders on a one-mile loop through Lancaster Avenue in downtown Ardmore, to Suburban Square and the business district.
The event has evolved over its 10-year history to include performances and a family fun zone with carnival games, a rock-climbing wall, and an obstacle course. Local food and beverage vendors also participated in the event.
