Anchorage’s Mountain City Church is hosting a free community event, “America Comes Alive,” to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. The event will feature a collection of over 500 artifacts, documents, and relics from the 1700s to the present, giving families a hands-on opportunity to experience American history.
Faith, Family, and Freedom
Dennis Tayman, of Tayman Tutoring, will be showcasing his remarkable collection, which highlights the essential role of faith, family, and freedom in shaping the nation’s history. The event will include interactive exhibits, period clothing, kids’ activities, special talks, and live musket demonstrations.
The celebration will take place on July 4 from noon to 6 PM and July 5 from 2 to 6 PM. Attendees will also have the opportunity to contribute their own family heirlooms and stories to the event.
