Dozens of passengers were evacuated from a northbound Metrolink train in Anaheim Hills after it experienced a mechanical issue Saturday afternoon. The incident involving Train 1858 was reported to Metrolink at 4:25 p.m. between the Anaheim Canyon and Corona West stations, prompting an emergency response, said Metrolink spokesperson Sabrina Davis.
NewsChopper 4 aerial video showed what appeared to be passengers sitting along a sidewalk as emergency crews attended to several people. Metrolink dispatched a rescue train to the scene to assist passengers. Anaheim Fire Department crews also responded and assisted with evacuations and injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
