JoAnn Kay, Director of Nursing at the Amie Holt Care center at the Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, gave the latest update on the facility to the hospital board of trustees at their recent regular meeting.
Current Occupancy and Trends
Kay said their current occupancy rate sits at about 87% with residents’ average length of stay at just over 700 days. Their current census is 38 residents, down from a full occupancy rate of 44. The facility’s census trend shows it holding relatively steady at roughly 39 residents since January of this year.
She reported that WanderGuard BLUE has been installed at the care center, which is a system that monitors residents in the facility to keep them from leaving without the staff’s knowledge.
