A rising national trend of damaging Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras has reached Southern Colorado. The Fountain Police Department confirmed that four cameras were damaged, and three juveniles were arrested in connection with one of the incidents.
National Trend
This trend comes as an intelligence bulletin revealed that activists are calling for a ‘National Week of Action Against ALPRs’ from August 16-22. The Fountain Police Department’s experience is part of a larger national phenomenon.
