Alabama held its media day on Saturday, August 8, with select players available to the media. Sophomore defensive back Ivan Taylor spoke about the team’s summer workouts and conditioning, saying it was “horrible” but necessary.
Taylor’s Outlook
Taylor believes that the tough summer workouts are a key part of playing for Alabama, saying “if you come to Alabama, you like hard challenges.” He is entering his second season at Alabama after appearing in 15 games last season, totaling 14 tackles and a pass breakup on special teams and rotating in with the Tide’s defense.
Taylor wants to see an increased role in his second year and believes he’s ready for the next step. Alabama returns to the practice field on Sunday, August 9, and opens the season on Saturday, September 5 against East Carolina.
