Alabama Couple Wins 150K In Kentucky Lottery

An Alabama couple, Theresa and James Stuckey, recently won $150,000 in the Kentucky Lottery after a quick bathroom break turned into a profitable pit stop. The couple had stopped at the Pilot Travel Center in Franklin, Kentucky, where Theresa purchased a Powerball ticket.

The Winning Ticket

The Stuckeys matched all five white-ball numbers in the August 1 drawing, which were 6, 17, 27, 48, and 50. The $50,000 prize was boosted to $150,000 because Theresa had added Power Play with a 3X multiplier.

After getting home, Theresa checked the ticket using the Kentucky Lottery app and was shocked to see they had won. The couple plans to use the money to pay off vehicles, help their daughter with college, and take a family vacation.

The Kentucky Lottery also awarded the Pilot Travel Center a $1,500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
