Accidental Gunfire Injures 2 In Seminole County

Two people, including a teenager, suffered minor injuries after a semi-automatic rifle accidentally fired Wednesday night at The Laurel at Altamonte apartments in Seminole County.

Deputies from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office responded to the complex around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report that a semi-automatic rifle had accidentally fired.

Both injured individuals were taken to a hospital and are recovering. The circumstances surrounding the accidental discharge remain under investigation.
