ABQ BioPark is hosting an adults-only, after-hours event on Saturday designed to raise money and awareness for great ape conservation. The evening offers a chance to see and learn about several primate species up close while supporting conservation work.

Guests will have access to chimpanzees, gorillas, lemurs, siamangs and orangutans, with opportunities for behind-the-scenes viewing and guided interactions in primate areas. The program is intended to be educational as well as an exclusive zoo experience for adults.

The event opens at 5:30 p.m., with last entry set for 7 p.m. In the Asia primate building, visitors can stay until 7:15 p.m. Each ticket includes one complimentary cocktail for guests with ID or a mocktail; additional food and beverages will be available for purchase at Matunda Cafè and the Asia Outpost.

Tickets are priced at $115 per person and availability is limited. Purchases must be made online in advance. All proceeds will support great ape conservation efforts through the New Mexico BioPark Society.

Throughout the evening, animal care staff will speak with attendees about topics such as diets, enrichment, housing, husbandry and the conservation projects that benefit these species. These conversations are intended to give visitors a deeper understanding of daily care and long-term conservation needs.

The ticket grants access to the zoo’s Asia, Africa and Ape Walk areas, providing a varied look at primate habitats and behaviors. The adults-only format aims to create a relaxed environment for learning and fundraising while keeping the focus on conservation.
