A Connecticut man, Paul Kueker, 51, died after jumping from a balcony at a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He was celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife at the Goose concert when the incident occurred.
Witnesses reported that Kueker appeared to be intoxicated before going over the 4-foot glass barrier. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Several people he landed on suffered minor injuries.
Kueker’s wife was unaware of what happened to her husband until she was notified by authorities. The cause of Kueker’s death remains under investigation, with a toxicology report being conducted.
The rock band, Goose, released a statement extending their condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones. A GoFundMe page was created by Kueker’s daughter to help with expenses for his funeral.
