A video has been making the rounds online that shows crystal clear footage of a severe traffic incident that happened in downtown Boise on Sunday afternoon, June 21st. The incident involved one vehicle that ran through a red light and put several lives in danger.
The ‘Boise Boom’ has introduced a level of traffic to the area that many are simply not used to. Traffic is one thing, but distracted driving is another. The more you’re on the roads, the more it seems like people have more ‘distractions’ than ever and often times, this leads to running a red or a poor merge.
Police have not released a statement on this crash at the time of publishing this — however, some community members have posted online about the family in the white SUV and they have alleged that all are safe. It is important for us to note that safety is our utmost concern and we hope that everyone involved in this video is safe.
This incident should serve as a reminder to slow down, be attentive, obey traffic signals and give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to go.
