The Casper Youth Hub will open its downtown space for a week of open houses from June 22 to June 27 ahead of its July launch. The open houses will give the community a look at the facility at Atrium Plaza, 201 E. 2nd St., Unit B11.
Facility Features
Visitors can tour six rooms, including a fully built-out art studio, a gaming room, a maker space, a lounge, a kitchen and a production studio. Young people contributed more than 200 hours of volunteer labor to help build the space, including 138 hours from 14 youth during the first four days after the hub received its keys.
Public sessions do not require a reservation. The open house schedule is as follows: Monday from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and Thursday from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
The hub will host an invitation-only session on Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for community members interested in supporting the work financially. A press preview is scheduled for Friday from noon to 4 p.m.
The week wraps up Saturday with Teen Day from noon to 3 p.m. for youth ages 11 to 20. Teens can explore the space and sign up for free memberships without adults in the room.
Mission and Goals
The facility is operated by Void Outreach Inc., a nonprofit organization that aims to serve 500 or more young people annually by 2027. According to executive director Seth Hollier, “Every teen needs somewhere safe to go, something meaningful to do and someone who’s glad they showed up.”
