The Alliance Theatre has partnered with Cox Campus to provide free educational access to their critically acclaimed Theatre for Youth and Families productions. This partnership brings the stage into every classroom, making arts integration possible for every teacher.
Empowering Educators with the Arts
Through this partnership, teachers have access to training and instructional resources designed to equip them in effective, evidence-based arts-integrated theater strategies. Accompanying instructional videos model basic arts-integration strategies that teachers can implement as pre- or post-activities to extend learning across content areas.
Research has proven the benefits of the Alliance Theatre’s arts integration programs, with students demonstrating gains in writing quality and comprehension, improvement in vocabulary, and increased oral language skills. The partnership with Cox Campus allows the Alliance Theatre to provide these benefits to students and teachers across the country and beyond.
In its first three months, more than 740 teachers engaged with the course, with an impact extending to educators across 36 Georgia counties, 39 states, and 5 countries. Teachers are excited to share about their experiences, with one saying, “This is the best, most interesting online course I have taken.”
The Alliance Theatre is honored to partner with Cox Campus, a platform offering 100% free, unlimited access to a broad and deep range of courses, resources, webinars, and community discussions—all advancing language and literacy practices.
