If you spend most of your day seated, your body adapts, and tension builds up. However, research suggests that short movement interruptions can help reduce this tension. A 3-minute mobility reset can help calm your stress response, mobilize your joints, and activate your muscles.
The 3-Minute Reset
The reset consists of four phases: breath-led downshift, dynamic joint motion, light activation, and integration. Each phase takes about 45 seconds to complete.
Start with the breathing exercise, focusing on proper breathing mechanics and rib cage position. Then, choose one option from each of the remaining phases, rotating your selections throughout the day to address different regions of your body.
Before beginning this or any new exercise program, consult your doctor or physical therapist. Consistency is key, and frequent movement breaks can help offset the negative effects of prolonged sitting.
