Booker also drew a contrast between the rules governing federal judges and those governing local politicians in his home state, noting that similar behavior by local judges would result in severe consequences.

When asked about expanding the total number of justices on the Supreme Court, Booker declined to explicitly support or reject the idea, instead focusing on his proposed ethics and term limit framework as a solution to the underlying issues. He emphasized that his policy would lead to rapid changes on the bench, as many current justices have already served beyond the proposed 18-year limit.
