SANTA FE, NM – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) announced that 38 New Mexico lawmakers earned 100 percent NFIB voting records during New Mexico’s 57th Legislature. NFIB State Director Jason Espinoza commended the lawmakers for standing up for small business owners.
Support for Small Businesses
According to Espinoza, many small business owners in New Mexico are struggling against higher costs and a regulatory environment that is difficult to navigate. The NFIB Voting Record includes eight key votes on tax, regulatory, and judicial reforms.
The NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a legislator when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of the lawmaker. However, it does highlight the lawmakers who have consistently supported small businesses in New Mexico.
