A European Central Bank policymaker says a repeat of 2022’s inflation shock is less likely. Dutch European Central Bank policymaker Olaf Sleijpen made the comments in a speech at an event organised by the European Economics and Financial Centre in London.
Sleijpen noted that the recent framework peace deal between the United States and Iran had pushed down both spot market oil prices and market expectations for future levels.
