Longtime ‘Wheel of Fortune’ host Pat Sajak gave fans a rare update on his life after retirement in a video posted to social media this week. Sajak retired more than a year ago after four decades as the host of ‘Wheel of Fortune’.
Retirement and Legacy
Sajak and cohost Vanna White started working on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ together in 1982, when the show first aired in syndication. The duo appeared in more than 8,000 episodes together, with Sajak leading the contestants through the game and White famously turning the letters on the puzzle board.
In the video, Sajak says he is enjoying life and even jokingly claims to have moved to Montana, despite standing in front of an oceanfront swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. Ryan Seacrest was selected as Sajak’s successor after his retirement.
