The Ankeny Community School District is making progress on its new Innovation Hub, focusing on underground work such as installing utilities, sewer piping, and retention pond functions.

Upgrades and Plans

Outside the Innovation Hub, the district plans $32 million in athletic and fine arts updates for its two high schools. A district representative explained that part of the planning involves simplifying circulation within the building and minimizing costs by placing utilities in a way that disturbs existing site utilities as little as possible.

Later this year, Ankeny Schools will focus on parking and traffic reconfigurations, with the school board expecting to begin the design process in early August.
