Rockwall Community Playhouse is excited to announce its summer lineup of shows, featuring talented local children and teens. First up is Schoolhouse Rock, a well-known learning musical that follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, as he tries to win over his students with imagination and music.

STAR Players Production

The STAR Players, a program for adults with Down syndrome, will perform Frozen, Jr. on July 10 and 11. This unique group of actors spends two weeks rehearsing for the production and then takes the stage to perform in front of an audience. Assisting the STAR Players are ‘The Buddies’ who help the actors onstage with lines and movement.

Lastly, the teen production will perform Newsies, a Broadway musical inspired by the true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City. The show runs from July 24 to August 2.
