San Antonio Weather: Spotty Rain Today

An area of low pressure will sweep across South Texas and into the Gulf today, bringing spotty rain to the San Antonio area. The low could briefly take on tropical characteristics as it hugs the coast, but the result is the same: flooding is possible for areas south and east of San Antonio.

Heat Kicks Up

In the wake of this low, stable air will fill in over the area, limiting clouds and allowing temperatures to soar. By Thursday, highs could reach the mid to upper-90s, with heat index values near 110° on Thursday afternoon due to humid conditions.

More rain chances are expected by Friday, as another front makes a run for South Texas, kicking up showers and storms for the area. Rain chances will continue on Saturday, with some heavy rainfall possible, before falling again by Sunday.
