Draymond Green Offers Lesson in Sportsmanship

After the 2026 NBA Finals, much of the conversation has shifted to evaluating Victor Wembanyama’s behavior after a self-destructive postseason debut. The 7-foot-4 French phenom skipped the traditional handshake line and headed straight for the locker room, capping off a rough Finals from a PR standpoint.

Draymond Green Weighs In

Notorious enforcer Draymond Green, who has spent much of his career blurring the line between basketball and mixed martial arts, is now handing out lessons on sportsmanship. On the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” the Warriors veteran didn’t hold back when discussing Wembanyama’s decision to skip the handshake line.

“Look your killer in the face,” Green advised Wembanyama. “You gotta look them in the face. By the way, if you leave the court and you don’t look me in my face and I just beat you, I actually know that I own you forever because you couldn’t look me in the face.” Green’s comments come as a surprise, given his own history of on-court antics, but he makes a valid point about the importance of facing defeat with dignity.
