The Oklahoma Hall of Fame is opening its doors to return its annual Summer Thursdays program, meaning families can get free admission while continuing to learn this summer. This program allows families to participate in hands-on activities and learn about those who helped shape Oklahoma.
Summer Thursdays Program Details
Each week features a new theme inspired by different Oklahoma Hall of Fame members, as well as activities. Families also get free admission to the Gaylord-Pickens Museum with tours offered at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The program includes story time, crafts, and activities for all ages.
The goal is to inspire the next generation to dream as big as the Hall of Fame members. According to Michelle Sopp with the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, ‘We really hope that someone sees a Hall of Fame member and says, ‘Wow, they could do that. I could do that possibly.’ We want to inspire kids to dream big.’
Summer Thursdays take place each Thursday through July, and no registration is required. Each Summer Thursday runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
