A state audit alleges the Lansing Emergency Management Department misused nearly $20,000 from EMS checking accounts between 2019 and 2025. The report states the funds were paid to EMS staff, volunteers and vendors.
The majority of these disbursements were for holiday parties, bars, restaurants, and banquet halls that weren’t open to the public, according to the report. KCCI has reached out to Allamakee County Emergency Management, where Lansing is located, for a response and is awaiting a reply.
