As the Aug. 18 primary election approaches, Ray Pacheco is running for Natrona County Board of Commissioners. He has served twelve years on the Casper City Council and has been honored to serve four terms as Mayor.
Challenges Facing Constituents
Pacheco believes the most crucial challenges his constituents are facing include protecting public lands and preserving the Wyoming way of life. Families are also feeling the pressure of rising costs, uncertainty about taxes, aging infrastructure, and concerns about the future of the local economy.
Addressing Challenges
If elected, Pacheco’s priorities are straightforward: protect public lands, defend local control, and create opportunities for future generations. He will advocate for local control and work to ensure county government reflects the values and priorities of residents.
Qualifications
Pacheco has spent his career listening to people, solving problems, and bringing individuals together around shared goals. As a social worker, educator, and public servant, he is committed to ensuring the next generation has the same opportunities and strong sense of community that he has been fortunate enough to experience.
