Vaudevillains Caught In The Act

Rosetint Community Theatre’s production of Vaudevillains, an immersive theatrical experience and live social deduction game, was held at Lyric Hall in New Haven. The performance, set against the world of a 1930s vaudeville stage, featured 20 players working together to uncover hidden killers amongst them.

The Show

The show was led by Phineous Babernacle, the Showman, who called the shots and led the troop. The actors played various characters, including Madame Le Faux, a fortune teller, and the Sister Act, a duo joined at the hip. The show also featured a monkey, Mags, who was a key part of the performance.

The game was played over several rounds, with each round featuring a challenge to potentially win shields, or one-time protection from being murdered by the Vaudevillains. The players voted to execute an accused Vaudevillain, but most of the time they were wrong. The show ended with a thrilling finale, featuring a murder and sirens blaring.

Reception

The show was well-received by the audience, with many spectators participating in the game and cheering on the players. The energy remained high throughout the night, with the audience fully engaged in the performance.
