The Louisville Kings will wrap up their inaugural season on Saturday in the United Bowl championship game against the DC Defenders at 3 p.m. at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
Season Turnaround
The Kings’ season got off to a rough start, losing their first three games. However, they picked up their first win as a franchise against the Houston Gamblers in Week 4 and went on to finish the regular season with four straight wins.
Two of their wins this season came against the DC Defenders, beating them in back-to-back weeks. The first game ended in a 30-13 win for the Kings, while they held on for a 33-30 win in their second meeting.
One of the big storylines for Saturday’s game is the quarterbacks. DC QB Jason Bean started the season with Louisville but was traded after the Kings’ third straight loss. Bean went on to lead DC to the title game, while his backup in Louisville, Chandler Rogers, stepped up and helped turn the Kings into a title contender.
Saturday’s game will air on ABC.
