A tragic incident occurred in Bentonville, Arkansas, early Thursday morning, when a 22-year-old man shot and killed his mother before taking his own life. According to the Bentonville Police Department, officers found the two deceased individuals in a home on Holly Drive after responding to a welfare check just before 2 a.m.

Investigators determined that Jaden Colby Howard, 22, had killed his mother, Jennifer L. Howard, 44, before dying by suicide. The police do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
