Frankie’s Italian Deli Ramps Up Menu

Frankie’s Italian Deli in Riverview, Florida, is capitalizing on the New York Knicks hype by introducing new menu items inspired by the team. The deli, owned by Francesca Leo, has become a hotspot for Knicks fans, with signage and decorations throughout the store.

Knick’s Inspired Cuisine

The deli has created a range of Knicks-themed food, including colored bagels, Brunson’s bodega order, Knick’s rainbow cookies, and black and white cookies. They have also unveiled a new sandwich called the New York Knicks, which features chicken cutlet, baked prosciutto, arugula, fresh mozzarella, and Frankie’s ‘forgetaboutit’ sauce.

The idea for the Knicks-themed menu came about when customers started taking pictures with the deli’s mural, and Leo decided to add some team-inspired desserts and food items. The response has been overwhelming, with fans coming from all over to try the new menu items.

A Family Affair

Frankie’s Italian Deli is a family-owned business, and Leo’s family has been instrumental in its success. Her father, a self-proclaimed basketball enthusiast, often engages with customers about the sport. The deli’s popularity can also be attributed to its chicken cutlet tacos, which became a surprise hit after being introduced last year.

Leo, a Long Island native, opened the deli with her family after falling in love with Tampa during her time in grad school. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, they persevered and have built a loyal customer base.

Frankie’s Italian Deli is located at 3930 US Hwy 301, Riverview, FL, and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
