People 21 and younger, living with disabilities, can also receive the free breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday at all three UCC centers. The centers are located at Bethlehem Center, Polytechnic Center, and Wesley Center. Breakfast is served from 7:30–9:00 AM, and lunch from 12:00–1:00 PM. No registration, identification, or application is required.
Organizers with UCC said this program helps to fill the gap and ensure that children return to school in the Fall healthy and energized. Serving Fort Worth since 1909, United Community Centers has remained committed to its mission, guided by Christian principles.
UCC has been a stabilizing force in the Polytechnic Heights, Diamond Hill-Jarvis, and Historic Southside neighborhoods, providing education, nourishment, and family support to generations of residents. The centers also work to strengthen literacy and empower families with the tools they need to succeed in everyday life. UCC’s food pantry and grocery distribution programs provide groceries to over 24,000 families annually.
