A new $65 million affordable housing complex, Palladium City Skyline, has recently opened in east Fort Worth, bringing 243 units of luxury multifamily housing to the area. The complex, located at 4909 E. Lancaster Ave, is currently about 37% occupied, with leasing ongoing. A grand opening is planned once the complex is fully leased.
Amenities and Features
The complex features one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans with modern amenities such as granite countertops, 9-foot ceilings, dual sinks, and balconies or terraces. Residents will also have access to a resort-style swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym, business center, dog park, children’s playroom, and a clubhouse with a mini-kitchen.
A key feature of the complex is the learning lab, which is powered by the after-school program Child At Heart School. The lab is designed to provide a supportive environment for students to work on their homework and reading skills, with the goal of helping them develop a love of reading. The lab is open weekdays and offers free tutoring and reading support.
Community Impact
The opening of Palladium City Skyline is seen as a positive development for the area, which has been in need of new investment. The complex is the first private construction project on the East Lancaster corridor in 20 years, and it is hoped that it will serve as a catalyst for further redevelopment in the area.
Daniel Haase, vice president of the Central Meadowbrook Neighborhood Association, expressed support for the project, stating that it is a welcome addition to the community. The association worked closely with the developers to ensure that the project met the needs of the community.
The learning lab is also seen as a valuable resource for local families, providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow. Teia Jones, program director for the learning lab, emphasized the importance of literacy and education, stating that the lab is designed to help students develop a love of reading and improve their academic skills.
